I recently uninstalled version 2.7, rebooted, deleted the Eset folder and installed version 3.0.657. Then I imported Blackspears settings. All is working well with one exception. I use PowerDesk version 5 as a file manager. When selecting a folder with a large number of files (many of which are compressed) the file display will slow down taking as much as 2 minutes to display all the files. Temporarily disabling the Antivirus fixes the problem, so I assume it has something to do with the antivirus options settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    System is a Pentium 4 3ghz 2gb memory
    WinXp Sp3
    All current updates

    Thank you!

    Problem Solved

I uninstalled version 3.0.657, downloaded another copy, installed the new copy but without Blackspears settings and everything is operating at normal speed now. Whether it was a bad download of the Antivirus and/or Blackspears settings, I'll never know. I'll go through the tutorial manually.

    Thanks for any suggestions offered.

I would suggest exporting that setup and saving as your default. You could then import those settings back if you muck something up.

Thanks, Bubba. Good idea. I will do just that.
