14:03:25 [DiamondCS Labs] Background upload of msnboot.exe to DiamondCS Labs started.

And what is wrong with this file?  C:\program files\online services\msn50\msnboot.exe

    Over?

I do not know the answer to this one. msnboot.exe does not exist on my machine in either the win98 or w2k install.

    What OS do you use?
    Do have MSN explorer installed?

Hey controler, I had a warning on this file a good while back. Said it was a possible uploader. Sorry I can't be more specific, it has been a while. The file is to set up MSN internet service on your computer. On the next TDS database update the warning went away. Running W98SE here. I haven't run a scan since last weekend, so I don't know if my warning has returned or not. I don't think it is a problem, but I am sure you will receive some info from DCS soon to clarify the situation.

    Thanks Vet

I am using the trial so that explains it. and yes it is give a poaaiable downloader file as fault.
It resides in MSN online services folder installed either with Windows ME or IE explorer 6.0
I don't use the MSN explorer at all.
    hope this helps.
it would be cool if TDS-3 updated the trial for download also but I can see that might be time consuming.

You can update the definitions by downloading the new ref file manually.

    Hi everyone,

MSNBOOT.EXE was detected with one of the new generic scans for one day, we updated the detection which removed this, however to make sure it doesn't get detected you must not only update the databases, and then close TDS and restart it (or reload)
