I have noticed that too but I was just hoping that someone might ship internationally.
I hope the price is not indicative of the product's capabilities.:D

It's called increasing market share and hoping to get revenue from future virus definition subscriptions.

NAV is available most all year long for $0 AFTER rebates, even the 3 user pack.

actually its a flaw in the site, if you check back ... you will see the prices have changed, people who have ordered will are likely to have it cancelled, or pay the full price, i very much doubt the ones who have ordered will recieve it for free, but good luck to ya, you never know .. they may still send it you :D

i think you better look again... as its not.

click buy and you will see, they not selling the product, just showing re-sellers of it.

also, with the one product that does let it go into your checkout box, you will notice that although it said $0.00, in your checkout box it states $50.00

hence the flaw in the site previously.

It's appears they themselves have sold out (or at least made it unavailable), so they are just giving you alternative places to buy it. The deal does not appear to be a mistake.

This deal HAS NO REBATE so you don't have to submit anything. Plus you don't have to own an old version or competitor product to get it for FREE. Rebates suck and it’s a hassle. :thumbd:

nah its a mistake, as there is one product that lets you buy it for 0.00 but when its entered the checkout box, it says $50

Only the 4 products linked to in the first post are covered under the discussed deal, the product that you found may say zero due to a mail-in-rebate, however this deal uses no mail-in-rebates.

ITS SOLD OUT. I am holding 2 boxed versions of McAfee. One is Virus Scan Plus which cost $39.99 and another one is McAfee PC Protection Plus which cost $ 49.99 ( and they have price labales too).I got them both for $5 from BestBuy. They weren't free but... If you need I could provide you with pictures too.

It is definatly a valid offer, I ordered it this morning and it has already been sent to the warehouse for shipment. Free shipping won't be quite this fast but you should get it. I have already received two emails from buy.com thanking me for my order and the other had the order and shipping info in it.

Funny how a freebie gets to us. I got in early enough, but as I was going through the process I thought, "Why am I doing this? I have no intention of using the programs, and don't personally know anyone who would."

So I just stopped the process and figured someone else could have mine.:D :D

I am not going to leave KAV6, Avira, or F-Secure for even a free McAfee.

    Best,
    Jerry

I just recently purchased McAfee VirusScan 2006 for free (after rebate), got a Compaq Photo Printer for a few bucks (after rebate), and got a Nokia Cell phone (prepaid type) for just $10 after rebate. I also just got a deed document online for under $20 (versus a lawyer prepared one going for at least $200). Great deals. :D :) ;) :D :-* :thumb:

    JerryM...

Ain't that the truth. :) I know I probably wouldn't use it, because I already tried the McAfee 2007 3-in 1 and didn't like it. As a Comcast subscriber, I can get McAfee free, but I don't use it. I'm using and liking AntiVir PE Premium. Like you said, it's free part that gets to us. :)

I tried to order it from Australia, not realising that they (Best Buy) only ship to US. I got as far as the checkout area, and it added $5.40 for shipping.

I had hoped that perhaps it would let me order, as one of those products listed said that it was available for download - I thought they might let me download from outside the US, but no go.

Yeah its a strange thing with free stuff. i have so many software licenses that i have picked up for free that i will never use them all. Still it would have been great to get a free mcafee subscription lol, oh well.

Hi,folks: I missed the chance getting a copy for my daughter in college. She was not disappointed and told me this: If McAfee has not changed its activation/registration method, she could get its all lineups for FREE; she could borrow a cd from friend and install and acitvate and register for one year def update for FREE. I do hope McAfee has FIXED this CASH LEAKS.:isay:

A more descriptive word for that is not FREE, but PIRACY. Additionally many colleges provide A/V and firewall software for the students free of charge (legally). She might want to check into that if she has not already.
