    i told them and what they response to me was that hips dont need to be updated that much:)

    BTW did you test MD against threats I am sure even the latest zero days ones will not be able to bypass MD;)

    i am waiting for the new realease but development slowed down a bit so let's see what happen

    if it is running stable on win7 which I believe it is, then there doesn't really need to be any updates.

    Yep running smoothly I have installed MD many times and never encountered any problems:)

    It is not recommended to run 2 HIPS type programs side by side. If you are using MD you don't need A2 anyway.

    I used to run them together at times. No problem. A2 does not have a classical-HIPS module.

    Since A2 includes signature-based engines (as well as its BB Mamutu), it will definitely provide added protection over & above that provided by MD. And vice versa.

    It's an official release i think, and yes it's freeware and will continue to be :rolleyes:

    Its not in BETA the link provided by Triple Helix is for the MD v2.7.1:)

    I am thinking about installing Malware Defender for the first time tonight, is
    there any advice from you guys that have been using this program for a while.
    Should I leave settings on default or make some changes. What about the
    learning mode setting , should I use that or not. To this point I have been
    using SBIE and DefenseWall and I already uninstalled SBIE but would like to
    use MD with DW, is that OK?.
    Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

    If you trust a program put MD into learning mode till you end it.
    If you dont trust it put it into sandboxie with MD exclusion on the sandbox.
    (recommended: no web, no rights)
