looknstop and cfosspeed (part 2)

    its been a while since i last used cfosspeed but its the smae problem: it occasionally reminds me that it cant send ping packets. lns doesnt show any blocked pings in the log. anyone one how to fix this?

    Is this to permit inbound echo requests and the corresponding outbound echo reply?
    What ICMP rules do you have in place at the moment?

    i have phant0ms ruleset and in addition i have teh following:

    icmp type 3 (for router?)
    icmp type 11 (emule)

    By default rulesets allow the ping to be sent and the answer to be received. Only incoming pings are blocked.

    If you want to block outgoing pings, just select the stop panel for the two rules:
    "ICMP : Ping other (Req)"
    "ICMP : Ping other (Rsp)"

    using my second computer, i managed to find several blocked icmp packets. i will see which ones are necessary. the first computer connected thru a router and it was likely blocking the pings so lns could never log it.
