If there isnt one already lets make list of all the free VPN services and similar.

For example i could contribute with
JonDo, which is not exactly a VPN but tor like service that can be used for free as well

Soon I read something about japanese project that also provides something similar for free, but can't recall the url right now, anyone?

ok read it all, it's useful list but seems like the author isn't quite tech savvy.
So if some users that used any of them want to share as well, that would be great.

    Hi,
vpngate is a decent VPN application--free and moderately fast, however TWO major concerns:
    (1) most of connections with listed servers FAILED the DNS leak test.
    (2) when scaned with wi-fi scanner such as PerfectSoft wi-fi guard, the result shows many devices on the same network (tunnel ?), is the connection safe from being tapped by others ?
I have used and still using few free VPNs which do NOT show these concerns.
    Anyone ? any advice ?

Free is never as good as pay-for. You can fix the DNS leaks by manual inclusion of the German privacy foundation DNS servers in your main internet adapter. You can never be really safe when connecting to free services but you can take steps to make your risk a lot less, such as firewall rules on your local machine and to the the TORBB over the free VPN to block your traffic from being snooped.

    Hi, Taliscicero:
    Thanks for the feedback.
I have the German DNS and Firewall setting with no files/printing sharing on, also one of the free ,fast, no limit PPTP VPN s--but what is TORBB ?
    please advise. Thanks.

I've tried some VPN services. I like SecurityKiss the most. It's great. It requires no Registration, usernames or Passwords. Free users get limited 300MB/day and speed limit(in my experience) about 12Mbit/s, enough for daily browsing and more than most other free ones. The free package also comes with unlimited switching between servers, exclusive tunneling, octopus tunneling. And the names of the packages are very interesting. The free plan is named Green, economy plan is OLIVINE, etc. :) :thumb:

How is Private Internet Access VPN?

For a 'pay' VPN, it seems to be one of the cheapest.

    Thanks in Advance.
