EasyList for some time had an issue of only half-supporting IE. The list wasn't very good and wasn't maintained as well as the list for other browsers. That's why many used Fanboy instead. I have no idea whether this still holds true, however. I would hope not, seeing as how Fanboy is migrating his lists with EasyList and soon we'll be needing to use Easylist.

Tried Easylist for a while. Seemed to work fine:) But as you said fanboy list is more popular among Internet Explorer users.

Is it me or this final version still does not automatically update TPLs? o_O I had it running for a few minutes, with out of date TPLs, and they never updated. How are we suppose to update them? By going to each individual website, copy and paste? o_O

Re: Win Internet Explorer 10 final Release?

Still nothing here yet (just checked), but I didn't install the Preview, so maybe that's why? If I get tired of waiting I guess I'll just download and install it manually...

Fanboy TPLs are set to expire every 4 days and they update fine for me on both IE10 on Windows 8 and IE9 on Windows 7. I haven't tried it on IE10 on Windows 7 though.

Nope, auto updating TPLs is broken in IE10 and has been since the developer preview when I reported it on their ticket tracker :( Luckily it's not that important as the lists already cover most things.

    Re: x64 W7 and IE10 mystery!

That was after several trys of just installing 10. Just installed 10 but won't open, then I restored to 9. Tried 10 again later, no luck. Tried un-installing 10 from updates, then install again, nothing. Finally removed 9 then installed 10. All installs seem to go normal including the restarts.

I was still with the November TPLs, I just checked and IE10 Preview never automatically updated it.

Have you tried using the System File Checker utility?

    Run System File Checker

    1. Type cmd on the Start screen.

    2. Right-click on it and select Run as administrator.

    3. Type the following command and press Enter:

    sfc /scannow

I really hope progress is still being made on ABP for IE. I check their Twitter every now and again and the forums but never see much of anything if it all. It would be nice to have another supported browser that uses ABP's full power. Firefox thus far is the only one that seems flawless. It breaks Chrome (or Chrome breaks it) every other release so that's kind of out.

Downloaded IE10 from MS. Installation went fine (32bit). - But I hate it! That's because something is wrong/bad with the fonts, doesn't look like IE9 settings I had which were fine for me. I played with cleartype settings already, disabled and re-enabled hardware acceleration ... but I still hate it and won't use it. - Firefox looks much better and sharper from my eyes on CRT monitor (custom fonts maybe).

Thank you but no "integrity violations!" Very bizarre issue. I also have the W7 update package that is needed.

As already noted, several beefed to Softpedia and as the article states, these were in the original release preview.

There were many GPU related challenges in the original preview release of IE 10, these kinks have been worked out.

Your Windows experience scoring should not be less than it was prior to installing IE 10.

I can't remember, did you say you tried launching via command line both 32 and 64bit IE's?

    *:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
    *:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

You were cleaning up IE related files found in *:\Program Files (x86)\ and *:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\. So you was messing with the folders and files permissions, good chance that you need to reset these.

You have total control over the appearances, visit Tools / Internet Options and under 'General' Tab / screen ... Appearance

I did, but that too was kind of in the middle of all of the attempts. My gut feels like there is a Service disabled. I don't know why IE10 would need a service 9 doesn't but if it does, why I'd have it disabled. As I stated, I rarely use IE but now it is about the sleuthing that is interesting and fun!

There has been a good point raised in this thread, if IE 10 supports currents TPL's. I use Easy List & Easy Privacy plus fanboy.

I'm currently showing the above lists having not yet expired.

Question is: will these TPL's be supported ?

Also noted is the overall appearance of the UI not looking "modern" like Moz 19.0 - will ask the IE Team if there are any plans on providing add-ons for appearance via IE Gallery.

IE10 won't open (even though it's installed correctly) if the Windows system Shell32.dll file found in *:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ has been altered.

No errors being shown or logging in event viewer!

    ... just confirmed it.

Anyone try to open Bing.com with IE10 today? Just a grey page---Firefox 20 beta renders it fine--an elephant herd.

So,as you recommended posts ago, I ran " regsvr32.exe "c:\program files\internet explorer\ieproxy.dll" " and it launches but can't/won't access any sites. Half way home, I think!

First thing first... are you using IE proxy server settings?
