From what I've heard that anti-dialer your mentioning is only for those who are subscribed customers to BT. It won't work with other dialup services. Though I've never tested it myself, so I can't say for certain.

MSAS also has an anti-dialer. I have no idea which is better though.

 

Kaspersky, NOD32 and pretty much every other AV product which detects more than just viruses and trojans will detect dialers.
