SIW (system information windows) Quarantined by Eset AV as probably a varient of Win32/Genetik trojan

    http://www.gtopala.com/download/siw.exe

Have had and have been using SIW for a long time without incident. New version out today!

Yes I just got that while trying to download the new version.
    I'm pretty certain it's a fp.

I submitted a sample to ESET earlier today suggesting a false positive after uploading to Virustotal with the following result.
    File siw-setup.exe received on 10.28.2008 13:40:48 (CET)
    Current status: finished
    Result: 0/35 (0.00%)

Perhaps they should start caring. I am unable to download the new version as the download was terminated and quarantined by Nod32 AV!!!

If you trust this application , temporary disable Antivirus and antispyware protection , download and run it . If necessary , open the GUI , press F5 , navigate to the Exclusions and add what is detected .

In the meantime , ESET Virus lab will fix the FP (if necessary)

Musikit - you have your own thread. Standard forum etiquette says to keep a single topic in a single thread, and to not cross post.

Stay within your own thread for your own issue.
