downloading new version

I have version 3.5 of spywareblaster on my windows XP. I have downloaded the newer version 4 and it shows as being downloaded on my "Add and Remove"
However, when I open it up it still shows as the 3.5 version and will not let me download the updates. Keeps telling me to add version 4! I have done this three times and always get the same result. Because of this I presume I am not protected - is this so?

did u disable all protection in SWB then uninstall 3.5 the first time? If not, do so and try uninstalling - reinstalling again.
