My VoodooShield is always asking me whether to run C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Platform\4.18.2009.7-0\MPCMDRUN. I think it is part of Defender. But why would VoodooShield ask, if it is part of Windows, or is it some hacker who wants to do something ? Another one is c:\windows\temp\xxxxxxx\MPSIGSTUB. When I manually update Windows Defender with mpam-fe, this pops up, so I know it is legit. But sometimes it wants to run without me doing anything. What do you guys think?
My laptop is running 24/7, and while asleep, I got Microsoft Defender update, and just seeing just the usual:
Trust me you did everything right v.s has a habit of doing stuff like that and was reported here: (https://malwaretips.com/threads/voodooshield-releases.64341/page-5) and because other people said they didn't experience such issues it wasn't dealt with properly, so you reporting it may help.
If your whitelist cloud scan after a reboot looks safe I would just ignore it.
