Just keep the OS and web browsers up to date. Some firewall app would be useful if you don't already have one.

No need to change it if you like it and don't need outbound protection.

    Seems fine to me.
Outbound protection re: firewall you already have in mamutu.

If any spyware/malware on your system tries to 'call home' mamutu will block and prompt you to authorise/deny.

I usually run an online scan with NOD32 (ESET) just to backup my installed scanner monthly. Avira's antispyware/malware heuristic engine is better that NOD's but NOD has the edge in some areas on Avira in detection.

I thing that hasn't been said: If you don't already, consider changing to an alternative browser, like Firefox or Opera.

Does it remember the rules in Paranoid Mode? If not and you get same alerts each time it's up to you if u like spending your pc time clicking on a security program pop ups.

    Paranoid is a bit steep.

If you know more or less that your system is clean then why bother making life more difficult for yourself?

    SanboxIE is another excellent 'freebie'.
Allows you to browse in a virtual environment, everything that happens while browsing stays trapped in the 'sandbox'. When you close your browser everything accrued gets 'flushed'!

    Perfect and free!

Paranoid mode just detects files packed with unusual packers as with suspicious file layout. Helped me a few times, though.

    You don't need anything else.

Do you have a good backup plan (at least image backup)?
