    1. Im currently running a registered version of Nod and off the top of my head it seems im up for renewal in Feb which will be my first full year of running Nod32. Right now Im planning to Renew....As far as renewal how does it work, i contact them? they contact me??

that said Im Thinking of buying a copy for a x-mas present for someone, Can i register a copy in someone elses name, then when the renewal comes up, if they still want it will that person be contacted for the renewal. ??

    2. With regards to the new version, does anybody know if it will automatically delete an infected email or will deleting the infected email continue to be done manually by the user. ? I love nod but the procedure for getting rid of the infected email, is not user friendly, especially for a novice user.

    Hi Phazor,

Some of your questions are addressed in the FAQ (see the pinned thread above).

As for renewal (coming from the FAQ):

As for buying a copy for someone else (nice X-Mas present, btw!): IMHO this can be done. You'll have to order using your own email address > you should inform Eset the email address in fact should be corrected into the one from the person you are buying to copy for. After payment, an email will drop in concerning the registration specifics. This can/will be needed to download the registered version from NOD32 - by the person you are buying NOD32 for.

As stated on a different thread on this forum, the POP3 scanner will be no longer part from the upcoming v2.0 As of how exactly infected emails will be handled: I'll leave that one up to an Eset techie to answer.

    regards.

    Hey Phazor,
There will be a pretty big step to the new version of NOD32 e-mail scanner - it will be independent on the e-mail client - because it will work at winsock level. You can choose action when the virus is found in an e-mail: clean, offer an action, leave, delete, rename, cancel. :D
