In the above RealTime Protection/Detection Test Comodo AV & UnThreat AV were TOP 2.

So this RealTime Protection/Detection Test. I included Avast AV coz currently these are the 3 AV's on my 3 systems.

Comodo AV - Only AV Defaults (D+ & SandBox Disabled)
UnThreat AV - Defaults & Check Files when Open/Copied Enabled
Avast AV - Defaults & PUP Enabled

MDL, MBL, Malc0de & CleanMX. I downloaded malware dated Jan 19 2012 from these sites i.e only malware of date Jan 19 2012 on these sites downloaded.

RightClick Scan & remaining were executed to check if they are detected.

Checked to remove duplicate malware i.e same malware file.

A simple test & not professional.

    257 Zero-Day Malware.

    Defaults

    1. UnThreat AV - Detected 191 , Missed - 66
    2. Comodo AV - Detected - 188 , Missed - 69
    3. PandaCloud - Detected - 179 , Missed - 78 ( I counted Not Neutralized as Missed - See Note Below )
    4. Avast AV - Detected - 156 , Missed - 101 (Defaults) , PUP Enabled - Detected - 17 More

    Note -

    PandaCloud 1.5.1

    Total Detected - 191 , Missed - 66

    Not Neutralized - 12

    Total Detected & Neutralized 191-12 = 179 , Missed & Not Neutralized 66+12 = 78

    PandaCloud 1.9.1 Beta

Exactly the same as 1.5.1, no difference.

    Hav Fun

    Thanxx

I dont think its against the forum rules. I am not asking or saying which one is best or worst.

Its just a simple comparison test.

Naren, thanks for sharing your test-results with us! What is your observation whether UnThreat is lighter or heavier (on PC-resources) than Comodo?

With default settings I find both light. Nothing much difference here.

Thanks Naren... How about adding Anvi SD to your malware testing?

Thanks for the heads-up. If I'm interpreting Naren's results correctly Anvi SD sure isn't an inspiring malware defender!!! :doubt:
