I find this new quit button to be very confusing. I'm used to being able to right click on an application in the systray and temporarily disable it. Why can't I do that with NOD? I clicked on quit and even though I got a popup saying I would be closing the application if I continued, I still thought (the first time I did this) that I would just be disabling Amon temporarily. I think it is too easy to kill NOD in this beta version. I mean there is no intimidating AMON jumping in your face and looking very fierce! I think this should be changed. Usually you just want to temporarily disable the resident antivirus while you install something ...you don't want to totally close the application! When would you EVER want to do that? I really dislike this quit button. Plus, the word is confusing. It should be close not quit or exit program even. The language here is inconsistent with that used by most applications seems to me.

Also, hide ...I think that word is very confusing too. What you are really doing is minimizing it back to the systray rather than the taskbar. You aren't hiding anything. (If you hide something you cannot see it at all and NOD does not become invisible). I had no idea when I first saw that word what it was for! It is not logical to me to use that word for what you are doing. Why not just let people close with the X? The hide is redundant anyway and is too confusing. It should be done away with entirely IMO.
