I ve been usin AVG Free as a home user but the site has forbidden some countries(iran, north korea, cuba ....) and I cannot visit their site
Updating is also banned because of my IP
I know the governments are in the struggling position but I dont know what s its concern to ordinary people.....
What the policy is,no matter wronge or right,it s up to governments
banning home users is not fair
I hope they come back to their humane habbits
    good luck AVG
    we still love you

Are you trying to download the software or get access to the forums?

What makes you think that AVG is blocking you...? I'm fairly certain that your ISP/Government is blocking you (for whatever reason).

I understood what you were saying, i was attempting to make a joke. Try going to Avast or Avira's website and see if you can gain access.

I'm pretty sure it must be other agents blocking you, its not AVG's position to get censorious on world political issues.

I think it's ok to stop free antivirus for crazy governments :doubt: Maybe the Ukraine will be the next country on the embargo list ;)

    what?!!!!
    Are you serious?!!!
AVG Free is for Home Users, not The Government
what is people's concern on this issue?
    have they something wrong?
Do they deserve this restriction ?

Excuse me for interjecting but, you say you've been using AVG, but now you can't, yet you say you're in a restricted area o_O
Seems you just want to bash AVG for this policy, and it's unlikely that they'd be willing to debate with you here, or probably on their own forum.
    The policy is self-explanatory imo.
    Pick another AV...and move on.

They aren't allowed to export their product to your country. Export controls administered by the United States prohibit export to Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, or any country subject to U.S. trade sanctions, like Afghanistan and Iraq.

Almost all AV that matter will have this block not just AVG. They have to or else they would face severe penalties. So, annoying and inconveniencing as it may be there is not much that it can be done.
