Is there any alternatives for shadow user than should have the ability to be turned as when testing is being done.

Rollback rx changes the mbr and does not have any abitity to turn itself off .

Virtualizers supporting testing of reboot softwares are needed.

Meanwhile i am searching the forum for new ones .I have already tried Disk write copy prof and windows steady state .

Problem with shadow user is that all changes made to shadow States is lost on Improper shutdown , i need ways to prevent that.

Depends what the host and guest operating systems are. Vista on vista is probably not a great idea. XP on XP would work ok. 256 ram would suffice for an xp guest.

COMODO DiskShield is great and very much robust(stands even on improper shutdown) , but features like exceptions can be added but this is a great tool to have particularly since it does not need reboot to enter shadow state.
