I noticed Adobe now installs flash a different way if you download the file directly from their wesbite. It is now an AIH exe file?

After downloading flash to lets say your desktop, you double click it to install, the install file automatically deletes/disappears from your desktop(I'm assuming Adobe made it so it deletes itself after double clicking)

And the file downloads flash and then installs it, before it was just a norma EXE file and it says it was installing, instead of what it does now, which is downloading and then installing.

    Is this normal?

From what I know this is normal. They did this change a while ago and from my experience it hasn't been acting quirky beyond that different style of installation.

Not sure if the old method is available still, but this current model appears to be just fine.

that is one method of installation.
the other method is a single exe or msi file which you can download directly from here the second method you wil need to delete the msi or exe yourself after installation. I prefer the second method but havent had problems with eiether methods on my machines or my customers machines.

you can get the same sort of installer as first method for adobe reader.
