Just wondering what folks views are on admuncher and such software for security as well as privacy?.Ive noticed that running admuncher seems to render my current resident av (antivir premium) as well as others ive tried ,redundant when visiting certain warez and dubious sites that use js exploits and such , because it prevents the sites changing the active window etc.If i disable filtering antivir always pops up , but admuncher does seem to stop many of these web expoits with its filtering.

I use Ad Muncher since 3 years ago, and I can't surf the web without him...

A web content filter should be a must have layer protection for everyone to avoid some security problems and ads/popups...

Yeah ive had it for a while too (about a year and half i guess) but only recently trying the beta which is very good.It is one of the few filters ive tried that doesnt really slow browsing and is easy to see whats being filtered, and works fine with firefox. The security it seems to bring is also very welcome.

I can highly recommend Ad Muncher. I also used AdShield for several years, and I can also highly recommend that program, but I like AM a little bit better since I can use it with any browser. Proximotron (I may have spelled that wrong) is also an excellent ad killer and free, but AM is easier to use. AM also has exellent tech support and you only pay for it once; all future versions are free.
