Lavasoft!? Please dont install it as it will crack up your windows. We repaired a lot of issues after uninstalling and AdAware itself is a big issue.

Malwarebytes will discover it as Adware.

Looks interesting, but I'm not sure what to think. For example is the safe browser just as good as the ones from other big name AV's? Oh wait, I now see it's simply a bundle of existing apps.

    Thanks for the review. :thumb:

I have tried it just to see how it is.
Safe browser can't be deselected upon installation, but you can uninstall it after. Nevertheless, the top toolbar will stay there because it actually is Adaware Protect.
Web protection is useless, I checked some phishtank websites, but it hasn't detected any.
PC cleaner and Driver manager are add-ons to be installed separately.
Basically, it looks like what Avira did with their Free Security, a launcher for the antivirus and other tools.

Seriously is it that bad? I remember way back Ad Aware was a respected product, but this is over 10 years ago or so.

Thanks for the info, doesn't sound too good.

I presume you are talking about Adaware Antivirus, which is not part of Adaware Protect. You have the option to install it alongside Adaware Protect, but they different products.
