I use that program but I heard that program doesn't detect much spywares..is that true? Do u think I should get another program like Spybot or Superantispyware? I still want to keep Ad-aware since it deletes cookies and stuff though.

Cookies are not spyware and if you want to delete cookies then use CCleaner. As far as Adaware 2007 is went downhill. I use SuperAntiSpyware and Spybot. Those are 2 very good choices and are free. If you want real time mode with SuperAntiSpyware then spend $19.95 for a life long subscription.

Agree with Dieselman. (AdAware won't be seeing my PC again.)
Superantispyware is trouble free, has plenty of success stories, and is well regarded.
Other AS applications which do a similar sort of job (for second opinion scanners) include Asquared, AVG AS, and SpywareTerminator. The last has a free realtime function.
Cookies are easily deleted, no special program required, but Ccleaner makes the job easy because you can whitelist the ones you want to keep.

Summary: AAW 2007 offers a false sense of security and is surviving off of an old reputation.

Yeah, but I don't think CCleaner deletes those advertisement stuff just like what Ad-Aware does. But would it still be ok and it won't going to mess up my computer or anything if I still keep Ad-Aware 07 and then download Superantispyware or a Spybot?

What advertisements stuff? Use Firefox with Ad Block Plus and No Script.

He means adware that may come bundled with other progs he installs. He is quite correct in saying that CCleaner will not remove this (unless it comes with an uninstaller) whilst AdAware may remove it.
That will not help keep out adware you inadvertantly install.

There is no reason at all not to continue using AdAware to help maintain your machine, if you wish. There are some things SAS will not remove (it will not remove commercial keyloggers for example) and SAS would only be necessary if you got infected with sonething difficult to remove.

Franky I never install anything I do not know or trust. I have never been infected in over 5 years now. I use Comodo 3.0 along with NOD32. I also have SAS Pro in real time mode and run Spybot once a week. I also now have the new Spyware Blaster. Most programs that include toolbars and stuff have the option to untick them before installing. Most infection can be stopped by bring a smart surfer. Prevention rather then protection.

No faith in Ad-aware 2007 anymore (Sick of the poor updates and low performance).
Like the Webroot Spysweeper, Ad-aware 2007 is not what it used to be.
There are plenty of others to use: SAS, AVG AS, Spyware Doctor, and Spybot :)
