(excuse subject title error - should be 2302 or whatever the latest release is)

I'm not usually one for complaining publicly too much about things.

2302 has me pretty disappointed in Acronis' quality approval process.
I'm surprised that time after time Acronis are releasing software with bugs in it.

I've developed software in the past, and any decent company should have a QA team performing rigorous, repeatable tests on software before it goes out the door. This obviously isn't happening otherwise we wouldn't be experiencing the problems we are.

Anyway, just to repeat another thread ..
Installing 2302 breaks my before command
    - Log message is 'Failed to create pipe'

    Works fine with previous 2289.

Before command is command file that moves existing .tib to OLD subdirectory.
    i.e.
    e:
    cd \Backups
    move /Y c.tib old\c.tib
    exit 0

And what a pain to go back a version - can't just install the previous patch! I had to completely un-install a reinstall from scrath.

    Hello ianhargreaves,

Could you please save the log file and send it to Acronis Support along with the link to this thread? This will allow us to investigate the problem and resolve it in the next build.

    Thank you.

    Hello nurquhar,

Could you please provide us with the more detailed information about the issue? What error message did you get? What OS do you run? Please describe all your actions before the issue appears step-by-step.

    Thank you.

    Dear Irina

    See my other thread :-

    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=104520

and my trouble ticket Acronis #392523

    For others :-
    OS = WinXP Prof
    Ver TI9 - 2302

    To test :-
    1) Add a sheduled backup task for files, it does'nt seem to import what you backup and to where.
    2) In the "before command" option point to a simple batch file such as :-

    echo HELLO > C:\TEMP\TEST.LOG
    exit 0

    3) Complete the sechedule task and use "Run Now" option.

The operation will complete with errors, look in the log and the first error will be "Failed to create Pipe".

Perhaps some other users might like to try the above and post there result here ??

    Regards
    Neil
