Is this for premium or just suite?

 

From the info on Avira's website this includes all existing product. The product is apparently released from Beta,and for sale! But there isn't any specific migraton date listed for current users. Sincerely...Securon

 

I don't see any of this, more guidance please.

 

All I see is that it will be released sometime this month, the download section still has version 8 so it's not available as of now.

 

If I remembered from last year they did incremental updates in the background for the files for a week or so and then they released it.

 

So who here has the released version 9 already, how is it?

the antivir 9 has not been released yet. don't know where these rumors come from.

the av 9 will be released for all antivir versions at the same time. the update will not progress as silent as the last time, you will have to uninstall the av8 and install the av9. the updater will guide you through this process. The upgrade for the classic version will be slightly different but you'll see this when it's time.

Looks like Avira has been busy giving regular updates this weekend. One on Saturday and two for today!

We should get a pop-up notice to upgrade when the moment occurs. I have both premium versions installed so I don't have to wait longer compared to the free version users.

I hope they will release it tomorrow on "Monday"
they say that it has done a huge improvements at heuristic and packers i have some samples and i want to test it too see how much they improved from old ver8 to this new version with new engine heur technology.

 

I'm pretty excited myself. I just hope it will have less system impact and of course fewer false positives. Does anyone know if they changed the GUI of the program? Some people have a love and hate relationship with the awkward interface.

 

I hope not. Always liked that GUI. It wont be here until the end of March according to Avira Antivir's forum moderators.
