Router ??

    Browsing with SandboxIE might help I guess. And following the instructions in the article. Although I wouldn't know how to change internal ip adresses myself (my router uses DHCP)....sigh.

    In addition to not using default settings, I would imagine that simply restricting management access to the device to only internal https connections thwarts this.

    A few minor changes and your good to go according to the article.

    The problem is the result of installation software omitting steps to change the default password for accessing the router's settings, turning off remote access if it's not needed, etc. The average user follows the directions and hopefully enables wireless security, but that's all. Locking down the router is not difficult for more advanced users, but it would be better if routers were more locked down by default IMHO.
