Registry cleaners

I used the old program called Regcleaner.Due to the fact it got out of date i deleted it.What is a decent cleaner to use?Any suggestions.

 

CCleaner is a fairly good cleaner, user friendly

Might also want to check out Regseeker this is a little more advanced.

 

I use Ccleaner and Eusing. Works for me, but you may want to look at some earlier threads on this subject. What works great for one machine may cause a BSOD on another. Many (more knowledgable) members claim they do not touch these apps.

 

It's just that when i runs the registry cleaner part of CCleaner there's entries there that don't delete.It totals 168.

 

The entries that "don`t delete" may in fact delete but then be recreated\written. The Windows registry is an ever changing thing.

 

id choose CCleaner or Registry TuneUp

 

Some registry keys require you to change the permissions before deleting them.

I still use "REGCLEANER" and "CCLEANER" about once a week.

I'll run "REGSEEKER" If things get really wacky.

Microsoft's "REGCLEAN" is worth a shot if you haven't tried it yet.

I also have "ERUNT" run on startup and it seems to help but
you have to remember to dump the old "Save" files it makes
otherwise you'll have a mysterious loss of hard drive space.

Speaking of which I'm over due to do just that.

 

Is registry mechanics is Good to buy or registry cleaner or regist booster. I want to buy one of them? any experience with these programs??

I still use Eusing, RegCleaner (old version) plus RegSupreme. You do have to watch it though, everything i run a scan it shows some FILE EXTENSIONS as unused when i know for a fact i do use them and for good reason. Some contain my saved settings for my folder customization app and others like *.cfg are my configs for SSM. I always remove the checkmark off of those to avoid the headache of having to save the settings all over again.

 

You will never be get wrong with Registry Mechanic and TuneUp Utilities. And for junk files you can use ATF-cleaner...it cleans out junks like a flash.
