Prevx will not install

Just purchased a new licence for Prevx w/safeonline.

This is on a new windows 7 x64 install, ie this morning. I downloaded Prevx 3 from the email i received and tried to install. Unfortunately nothing happens.

It fires up with a box windows x64 language english and i hit next. It connects to the internet but after that nothing, no install or trace of Prevx.

I have tried a couple downloads from Prevx's site but all fail to install. The only other AV installed is Norton AV 2010 which i disabled for the install of Prevx.

Grateful of any assist on this one.

Un-installing Norton might be an idea? Anything in the Norton logs to suggest that it's blocked Prevx? Looking in Task manager, are there any Prevx processes running?

 

Its always worked with Norton beforehand and i did disable Norton for the install.

No Prevx processes running in task manager either. Mystery this one?

I've installed Prevx paid on a couple of pc's running Win 7 x64 without disabling Norton real-time. I've also installed Prevx in safe mode on numerous pc's, so you may want to give it a whirl and see how you fare.

 

Could you try downloading the 64bit installer directly from http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?grab=prevxcsi64 and let me know if that works any better for you?

I was in contact with support via your website and had tried a couple of things with them but to no avail.

Fortunately, that link you provided for x64 version workded perfectly.
