    Hi there!

I see that Emsisoft is offering Anti-Malware with Online Armor Premium. I also see that there's an Online Armor ++ with Antivirus. My questions are:

-What antivirus engine does the OA++ include?
-What's best to use, OA++ with Emsisoft A-M or OA Premium with Emsisoft A-M?
-Why is there that huge difference in prices between online-armor.com and emsisoft.com?

    Thanks mates!

    Hi,

-OA++ uses Emsi's own engine and the Ikarus engine.
-That is kind of peronnel taste but have a look here as well: hxxp://support.online-armor.com/showthread.php?t=14302
-Cannot answer you about the prices because that is not my cup of tea.

OA ++ is OA premium FW with Amsisfot A-M, Ikarus AV and, mamutu BB (Behavior Blocker). So there would be no reason to buy them separately because it would cost more. Unless you want to use another AV then you need to get OA++.

From what I know, OA++ has it's own HIPS and doesn't include Mamutu. Also OA++ uses an older AV engine (but has the same signatures).

    Hi,

Since latest release, the same AV engire is used
OA++ does not include, like you said, Mamutu's BB engine nor surf protection (OA++ has Webshield and in advanced mode Host blacklisting)

    Regards,

    MaB

I have been using OA Premuium for several years and I have not used OA ++, but didn't previous versions of OA ++ contain Mamutu BB?

No it never has included Mamutu but it does use Emsisoft's engine...
