All fixed now! But how/why/odd, unclear!

The old Dell, with BIOS problems. Is now a dedicated F@H contrubutor.

Visiting this machine: Chrome > settings > clean all but cookies > sync on

Exit Chrome > WT.exe file system errors > settings etc not available, exception Win+R.

Win error msg -1073479340. And path led to users/local... <visit did not see 'local'>

Failed to fix: Sfc /scannow (repaired some), DISM restore-health, stop/restart service Win license
    chkdsk /r

Fix with Problems: Left shift <hold> + sign out > reboot > sys restore reboot

Chrome refused to open, F@H gone, extra slow

Revo uninstall choosing 'chrome' brought up GMAIL removed caution > Win prog & features removed. dl re-install. Chrome is good.

    F@H re-install good

set Chrome <default> slow goes to Fast <old dell>
    _____________________________

choosing the error msg above > gave instruction for different error number. If somehow 'users > local got deleted, could that be the cause of WT.exe error & reason for failures above, & sys restore replaced. Is info in users > local > required for some apps.

All fixed now but wonderig WTF, see what y'all thinks

    Thanks

my win10 systems dont own wt.exe. either its malware, "windows terminal" (what the heck, on a client?), or just another stupid "windows tool".
    https://www.file.net/prozess/wt.exe.html
for win11 its an app (c:\program files\windowsapp\) and thus apps running in a secured container which is not touchable from any other app.

WT.exe = wintows terminal, probably has "h" attribute for the file. Hidden! WT is talked about i MS forums and others. M any start with sfc /scannow > dism's restore health > chkdsk /r > sys restore > reset windows. progression to fix.

Also I did not try, but quite a few, mention Windows update & uninstall last update. I was am not sure which WU to del, sys restore removed a couple WU's.

Also after old dell nice and healthy, some strange long ago desktop icons came back (I used the new to me icons previously). Profile merging, from changed, primary/secondary Microsoft account holder.

Also all the research not one said sacn for malware, it's a known issue for 10 & 11

windows terminal/windows tool regardless, wt.exe 'file system error' rendering some, not useable, leaving windows key+R etc functional.
