iwon spyware

    i assume iwon is spyware because one of my scanners found it.what does it do and is it dangerous?

    i checked out your link and it says by visiting there site and downloading a pkg. to use their stuff like chat is how you get it.i had never even heard of them till i did the scan--wonder how i got it on the computer

    Hi
    yes i was able to remove it--i scanned with adaware and i clicked remove.then i scanned again with spybot and no threats were found but some spyware scanner found iet toolbar(i forget the name of it)the scanner.what is this iet toolbar and why wouldnt the other scanners find it?

    I can't say why your other apps. didn't find it, but these things can be what is called "Drive by" downloaded onto your system just by visiting what u might think is a totally innocent website.

    i hope it helps.theres one thing about the second link.BlackViper appears to be abit of a supergeek,and because of that he wont make the same mistakes you or i would,i wouldnt turn off system restore,or some of the other services he would.
