   why does my laptop scroll slider (wheel) on my laptop not work with Firefox 3?
   
   it works with all the others, Opera, Safari, IE and Chrome etc.

   Have you checked about:config ? Here's a similar issue; look at 2nd post by Bo: mouse scroll wheel not working only in firefox and there are other solutions.

   aahhhh, it is.
   
   how do you make the mouse scroll wheel driver to work?
   
   i tried adding the synaptics folder in direct file access, but it didnt enable it to work.
