The website of the European Central Bank (ECB) seems to have been hacked.

Press Release by the ECB at 24 July 2014:
    http://www.ecb.europa.eu/press/pr/date/2014/html/pr140724.en.html

Hate to say it, but I'm immediately suspicious that this is political. I mean, discrediting the central bank for the Euro, hello?

    PS:
In case people don't know what the ECB is:
The ECB (European Central Bank) is in the European Union what the Federal Reserve (the FED) is in the USA.
Yes, there are differences between the ECB and the FED, but since this is a computer/internet security/privacy forum and not a financial/political forum we will not discuss that topic.

I guess that "Super Mario" is not happy with this.
I don't know who was behind this hack. Let's hope that the damage was "only" as described in that Press Release.

Useless hacking... no access to actual bank data or documents. Only just data from visitors using their forms to ask for information or signing up to events.... ;)
