I seem to be having a problem with cookie auto delete and the latest firefox v59. The extension does not seem to be working correctly as when i navigate away from a site the cookies are not being removed, I have set CAD to automatically remove cookies with a certain time period but they are still not being removed and other extensions seem to behave the same. Any help please.? Thanks.
I use CAD and it works perfectly on my Firefox beta v60b3. And it was working fine in v59 beta as well. So, it seems like some of your firefox configuration has messed up a thing or two. Try a new profile.
Thank you. Im not certain if it is in regard to containers,I notice it clears cookies when the tab is closed but i would rather it cleared cookies when i leave a site within the same tab. Maybe a clean profile may help and thanks for your input.
I used to use CAD but no longer. Hence, I can't answer your question. However, it seems that you're using containers. So do I (in combination with First-Party Isolation) - and I seriously don't think that CAD is necessary any more. I'm using containers with the add-on Temporary Containers. It opens every site in its own temporary container which is deleted after 15 minutes (you can also choose 2 or 5 minutes) - including the respective, cookies, cache and storage. Until recently I used it with browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInTabs=true but now I've reverted that switch. Rather, in the Temporary Containers settings -> Isolation I chose "If the navigation target doesn't match the current Tabs Website Domain (includes Subdomains)" for "When navigating in Tabs should open new Temporary Containers" in the Global tab, and in the "Advanced" settings I chose "Instead of creating a new tab replace the currently active tab" for "Creating new Temporary Containers in case of Isolation and Left Mouse Clicks".This means that within the same tab a new temporary container is created. This makes sure that all sites are properly isolated from each other.
