i have a hp desktop, and have replaced the original keyboard with another one (not a hp keyboard)
can any problems arise from this?

    thank you.

I've done the same thing on another brand of computer. No problem.

Well the Keyboard can go broken and then you might not find the exact same one. And end up getting one from Logitech or Microsoft. And I haven't discoverd any problems by doing so.

    Usually...no, no problems.

Now if you had some specialized keyboard with custom programmable hot keys on it, and you replace it with one that doesn't have those, or is of a different brand with its own special programmable hot keys, you probably should uninstall any software for the first one, and install the software for the new one.

If you go from a PS/2 keyboard to a USB keyboard, the first time you power up ....they keyboard may be unresponsive for a while until Windows loads the drivers for it.
