    Almost every kid on the block wanted one of these when they grew up, I still really like the look!

    I think a few did get there and still have them! Wish I had some of my old clunkers - or so I called them at the time!!o_O LOL!!

    It's like collecting comics, baseball cards or Hot Wheels, who knew?!?!? :)

    A good friend of mine pointed something out to me today while viewing this thread.
    I soon agreed with him after he mentioned the accomplishments of the following two gentlemen.

    Consider the time period, coupled with the fact these two vehicles attained their records by mechanical drive!

    TIMELINE


    1931-1935 During these years, Malcolm Campbell makes and breaks the record five times in Bluebird.
    On the third of September 1935, he breaks the 300mph barrier, reaching 301.13mph.​

    The 400 mph barrier was finally broken by Mickey Thompson of the U.S. on Sept. 9, 1960.
    Driving the Challenger 1 powered by 4 Pontiac V-8 pushrod engines producing 700 hp each.​

    I have owned a 49,51,53,55,56,57 oh heck almost every year since then, I like cars. My mom kept a list of the cars I owned in my eightenth year. That year I owned 107 cars. Five in one day. I kept busy when I was younger, I was a wheeler Dealer. ;)

    1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk

    A nice 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk Hardtop Coupe. Fins found there way onto the 57 Studebaker Hawk. The upright grille had arrived in 1956.

    That was a mean looking Studebaker! That '49 Ford looks like it could be made today!! Nice lookin'! Thanks for the link, GF! I found some Studes too, I have been havin' a hard time resizing them to upload, let's see?!? A '54 Commander,beauty,,right?

    This guy is putting a 425 in this little Studebaker, there is a web site for Studebaker fans, 13,000 of them in one club, amazing there are still that many and more around!?!

    Saw some sleek rides at a small neighborhood car show, they seem to be everywhere lately. That made me want to find some more '50s',60s' and custom cars. Hope ya like these! :) A 1950 Dean Bryant Merc
