1939, I know cuz my dad had one as his first car, back from the war and he wouldn't give it up until one of my brothers wrapped it around a pole!! One of the first cars I learned to drive on, that and a 1949 Plymouth, a TANK!! :)

That's a beauty! Here's another one, this was "borrowed" out of the Shah of Iran's garage, before he was Shah, for $259!! It was passed around until the owners now totally restored it! Bet it wasn't for any $259,either!! :)

August 14 - 2005 Chrysler 300C SRT-8 Chrysler has put a special 425 hp version of their Hemi motor in the Chrysler 300C. The 425 hp number is shared with the legendary 426 Hemi that carried that same rating from 1964-1970. Kudos to Chrysler for this homage to their impressive heritage.

    300
It’s a number that made a name for Chrysler in the mid Fifties. Back then, Mopar performance was alpha-numeric. The fleetest of the fleet – the big, 300 series coupes - were badged with sequential letters and backed by serious hardware. In 1956, a 300b “letter car” was the first to pack one horsepower per cubic inch – an early milestone, in the upcoming horsepower wars. And so it went, through 1965, when lettered versions of the 300 series disappeared.

Well, I suppose 425 horsepower is fine, but why not 550?:) Shelby's 75th Birthday present!

This guy loved cars and racing, I saw an exhibition of the cars he helped build, design or influenced the designer, and raced. There are at least 500 different styles he was directly involved in, pretty amazin'! Bet ya know this one--

Everyone remembers the Shelby Mustang, how about the '59 Shelby Corvette?
