Bogus text message

Got a text message at 4am telling me I won a $1000 Walmart Gift cert. and gave a url to go to. Tell me this aint bogus
"prizesforyou.bix/wm"
Cranked up Shadow Defender and went to url. Nothing happens when I enter code but scanned with MBAM and it found PUM.HIjack.StartMenu and this is on a fresh install of XP Pro 64bit. Figured it was bad but wanted to play with it anyway. Code was WINN. Also thought some folks here would like to play with this.

 

If you had MBAM running realtime it wouldn't allow to visit that site at all.

 

Definitely a scam...

...You get @'d "mentioned" that crap on Twitter all the time by computer-generated accounts that they inevitably can't keep up with.

If it's not a Walmart Giftcard, it's either Justin Bieber related, or scam porn webcam hookup sites.

 

Yesterday I received an e-mail (in one of my bogus accounts) saying that she wanted to hook up with a hot guy. I almost felt tempted. ... but, I doubted she would pay me the plane ticket, so... I didn't reply.
