The search engine, been using it for a while with https, but sometimes I have to go back to google as ixquick doesn't yield the same results. Are there any alternatives with both security and results?.

Since my surfing IP is not my ISP-given IP (thank you, XeroBank and OpenVPN), I don't fret about using Google/Bing. In the end, I guess I don't trust any providers of any services, esp. not "cloud" solutions providers... so I give them Steve T.'s IP. ;-)

iZito is my second choice of searcher (meta searcher), but this is not a searcher that promises to keep your privacy, I only use it to get a second opinion.

I'm trying to understand using https. If I use this search engine with https, this means that no one, including my ISP can see the search terms or search results?

I use clusty. It promises to protect your privacy and it doesn't require a cookie. There is no filter unless you want one. Has anyone tried CLUSTY?
