I ask myself that same question every day, different answer every day. :D You have a decent setup. Good stuff. Goes without saying that much depends on your particular surfing habits. You are behind a hardware router/firewall, right?

many dsl/cable routers will have a builtin firewall that block inbound attacks.

According my readings : router + firewall is better, than router alone or firewall alone.
I've seen it often recommended in security forums, security websites and even by security experts at Wilders. So it must be true.

Smiley has a much better security setup, than my first computer, which was only protected by Norton Internet Security and yes my computer was heavily infected, but I didn't know it. :)

I think (and hope) your computer is well protected.

My personal compueter is only protected by avast! Home Edition (sometimes by AVG Free or none), Windows Firewall, and full updated Windows XP with limited user account and NTFS file system. I think this solutions are great for me.

I haven't been infected by malware for a very long time, the last infection is a Diehard virus back to the DOS world when Microsoft Antivirus (MSAV) failed to detect it. :thumb:

i agree, looks secure... but it looks too much to me, surely some of those are not needed to be 'secure' from nasties on the net. :)

i would suggest a router with firewall to ANYONE who wants some top-notch security, you'd be surprised just how much it keeps out.

You might even kill a few of the on demand spyware scanners...

With the price of decent routers being seriously cheap, every broadband user should be behind one. Layers, layers, layers! If someone wants a crack at me box, they're going to have to work for it. :D
