It works fine, for whatever reason, I thought it was done automatically. I am just getting old and forgetful. I like the new look.

I think a new version overrides the sorting you previously had active, that might trigger this 'feature' ;)

@Tigzy why is the "Scan" button moving around when you press it? is that by design?
When I press "Scan" it moves up about 5 mm to switch to "Stop" text.

That's better, but why not make the View buttons the same size and vertical alignment with the Scan button?

Ronny, no offence but why don't you respond to my questions in the HMPA topic from like a month ago? :doubt:

    Hi @Tigzy :

I find the new dashboard design for UCheck v6.5.0.0 (rel. 17-Nov-2025) is too cluttered. For example:
    • I don't need to see I have 106 installed (total .exe?) programs reported on the dashboard. If I click the View link on the new "Installed" panel all it does is open my itemized list of installed programs, which I can already access from the Installed button on the left-hand menu.
    • I don't need to see the most popular software programs downloaded by other UCheck users reported on the dashboard, especially when it lists programs already installed on my system like my Firefox browser. If I click the View link on the new "Available for Download" panel all it does is open a list of 270 compatible programs UCheck could install on my system if I upgraded to a Premium license, which I can already access from the Download button on the left-hand menu.

I also noticed that the first time I ran UCheck Free Portable v6.5.0.0 on 17-Nov-2025 it created two files called Scan.txt and bug.txt in the same folder on my removable USB stick where my UCheck_portable64.exe executable is located. I'm not sure why those files were created since they haven't been updated since 17-Nov-2025, and all my scan and debug logs for subsequent scans are still saved in the ...\UCheck subfolder (i.e., as they were for previous versions of UCheck Free Portable).

    It should not :)
For that Windows Update bug, it should be fixed in the next version (just a leftover from previous scan)

mmh, ok. Yeah that because the scan status frame shows up. I'll think about a way to avoid that

Because it's ugly :) I can't honestly put everything the same size as titles...

Well, the old one was too empty :D

It was on the old dashboard.

I understand that, but that feature is not very well known/underused and deserved some exposure on the dashboard.

That's easy to fix, we can skip anything already on the machine.

    Nope, that's not us.
