exactly. i have absolutely no clue. i compared my gpo settings, but they are the same. win11 24h2 is brand new installed. 23h2 is running for over a year now without changes (gpo). i assume some kind of dependency of hardware, in special gpu. ok, my 4. system, also windows 11 23h2, same issue, not available. but that has changed except ssd the complete hardware. upgrade. but its the same hardware as this computer with 23h2. thats what i dont get. very same hardware except gpu (this one is older) and here it works, with the better gpu it do not work. it cant be a gpu isse. i also disabled gpo settings, still no avail. edge://flags has no option for me, switches from v137/138 do not hold such option. what i read theses days, that MS is developing a "cuter" design for edge. maybe they have dropped the new design - but this also do not explain, why 23h2 is treated this different. a search engine did not help me out at all. curious. but well, i dont like the new appearance with floating tabs. firefox as my default browser has also no floating tabs. it had, somewhere around version 44. ugly. image it should be in the lower box.
MS does a lot of A/B testing in Edge before deciding on, and final roll out of, new features (usually bloatware features!), so one user has X feature or design change, and another user has Y.

With Windows 11 25H2, I have two problems in Edge. To achieve the same speed in the Speedometer 3.1 test, I have to disable Security Mitigation, whereas in W.10 the “balanced” setting worked fine. I also had to disable MPO to eliminate crash issues, especially when using the new tab.
I sent Microsoft a problem report about the inability to block this cookie: Code: ntp.msn.com which would allow me to block cookies in New Tab and Microsoft extensions. But in W.11 it makes the browser unstable, especially in New Tab when I search for a link or perform a search. Almost certainly with my settings/policies/flags/..... ... Microsoft has increased its hostility towards Google in W.11 compared to W.10. I had to change my exclusive StartPage search engine policy because it also made the browser unstable. I can ignore JIT, Google, etc., but I should be able to set a cookie block if I want to. That is why I sent the issue.
How do I disable security mitigations? Is this like the old InSpectre tool or is there another way? Does that tool still work? It hasn't been updated in years
It's that simple. If you click on ? with your mouse, you will also be informed about the mitigations: I also have many anti-exploit mitigations enabled in WD, so I have no problem performing this operation.
I don't know what language is that but this is what I have on mine (I can't find anything related to the word mitigations when I search in settings)
“Enhance your security on the web” is already disabled. Get the maximum speed of Edge with the Speedometer 3.1 test, but you sacrifice security. You can read about this by clicking on the ?
