Just now trying uBO Lite, again. I found Developer mode.
Um, where do my Custom filters reside? Created custom filters a few times to reclaim empty space on Hotmail & Yahoo mail. But, don't see them listed...like with uBO -> Custom filters.

somehow and somewhere he gets uBoL for firefox signed...

is it normal that importing my rules in dev-mode and ubol throws an error? and after re-opening no more?
    i have ~2000 custom rules.

    Interesting.
I thought there no longer was a uBO Lite version for Firefox, but I see a beta version is available for Firefox.

i stored from github, "beta" status. well after months i changed to adguard. but i keep my eyes open to ubol. but i have no results as ubol only exists in my profile for testing purpose, which is cluttered sometimes.

Yes, that is what I meant, uBO Lite beta for Firefox, signed xpi.
    https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uBOL-home/releases
I didn't know such a version was available for Firefox.
I am very happy with the regular uBlock Origin for Firefox, but it is good to see the uBO Lite version is not dead.

the image "only" is worth nuts, you have to link the whole article why (1)(2)(3) is depending.
    https://adguard.com/kb/de/adguard-browser-extension/comparison-standalone/

ofc the extension is limited. further, i dont need the desktop app, but i know premium for my android.

but let focus on ubol here, not atguard!

as i wrote, i have an eye on ubol, but currently not active used. a matter of gorhill.

    Hello @Antarctica:

If you pair uBOL with the free Malwarebytes Browser Guard for Safari, that browser should be quite well protected. Additionally, if running a recent macOS, XProtect et al should make for a very formidable protection team.

    Cheers

I don't think you need those extra programs - but try the Lockdown Mode. You will be surprised how elegant it is.

@Mrkvonic The issue you faced when configuring UBOL in Safari was the Apple implementation of what Chrome calls Extensions Menu Access Control. AFAIK, the two implementations are ~ identical. In Chrome, it can be quite useful for extensions that are only used on specific websites.

I removed the (unsatisfactory) WRTC rule from my DNR rules.
Users who want complete protection should install a dedicated extension that completely blocks WebRTC leaks.

I guess you're talking about the element picker, right? I have noticed that it doesn't actually remember the rules (custom filters) made, and you can't manage them, what a joke! uBlock Lite is really not good enough for power users.

    You're wrong.

I created this rule for ImgBox on August 3, and as you can see from the red arrow, it is remembered by uBlock Origin Lite:

Perhaps you don't remember the website where you created a cosmetic rule.

And I admit that this aspect of the extension is rather inconvenient.

But Gorhill wants it that way at the moment......:rolleyes:

OK cool, will check it out. From what I saw, I had to make the rules again and again. I did like how easy it is to remove element picker rules, this should be ported to uBlock Origin. And Gorhill also forgot to make a right-click context menu entry, very unhandy having to use the extension icon.
