Odd they had white listed it already and hasn't been flagging it on my systems.
I will submit it to them again just to be sure.

OK I have it submitted. I have been working on the program all night and defender didn't complain once. I turned it back on just now after an hour off and it flagged it.
They should have the false positive removed soon, at least they better lol

I feel your pain. I work for a company that makes medical auditing software and every time we start testing an update we face the same battle. It's good to keep on top of it so they don't ruin your reputation.

I guess I should report this while I'm at it... I have this installed in multiple Virtual Machines for testing purposes and when I launch this in any of them and an update is available I am notified of the update. However, in Windows 7 32 bit machines it appears to download the update file when clicking to do so but then the program closes and it does not update. No error messages or anything, it just does not proceed from there. I can download the installer and run it manually over the top, but the updater does not work. If I had to guess it probably can't find the file?

I use a self extracting exe made with winrar for the update. It was making it 64bit by default.
I just made it 32bit and uploaded it, try it now, it should work. Also made the update about 800kb smaller so a win there lol

Sounds good but as I already updated manually and didn't save any older installers I'm going to have to wait until there is a higher version number to test to correctly.

So I have been working on a big update. I am redoing the title bar, finally able to pull system theme colors like dark or light in the colors section, Adding Windows PE support and also scanning other Windows drives not just C:.

But after I finished the new coloring pulling, I kind of like the new colors that got pulled from my system.
What do you guys think about me making this the default colors instead of the current ones.

First pic is the new colors and showing the new options on the program colors screen, the 2nd pic is showing the new title menu I've added. Your also notice the title bar buttons are now like Windows 10 / 11 vs how they are now, which I think does look a ton better.

How do I get back to the home screen without restarting after I've scanned?

Hhmm, never thought a home screen button was needed, I just have the scan again button up top after you scan.

I could make the scan again button have a drop down to choose to go back to home screen.

Or maybe instead of it having a scan again button I just make it a home button?

That's OK. I just wondered how I could get back to view the statistics as displayed in my screenshot.
It's something to think about it.

I can change the scan again button into a split drop down, where it will have an arrow to the right of it.
So scan again will work like normal, then click the arrow and an option to go back to the home screen that can be clicked. This way I dont have to use more space for an extra button.
Im working on it right now and so will be in the next update, not sure when that will be but shouldn't be long.

    Think about it, Shane.
It was just an observation. I'm not trying to be picky. Your website says to contact you for any ideas or new features. :thumb:

    @SirShane

I did a comparison scanning with SirCleaner and HiBit Uninstaller. SC found 130MB, HiBit found 543MB pure crap files. Besides the fact that HB automaticly picked up the installed browser, Floorp, and made an item for it and found cache for it which made the total amount to 1.4GB.

I will try the program out and see what its grabbing that mine isn't, but mine isnt an uninstaller, I have to be careful what it removes.
Granted if I find a safe way to tell if a program is installed or not I could have it remove more files, but with portables out their that would be dangerous.

Can you message me what it found over mine? Would be good to compare.
Also remember in my program after it does a scan, right click on the summary and click view all files, then you can right click on that list and save it to a file.

That would be helpful for me to have that and a list from the other program since I dont have the files on my system as you do.

    Hi

I can tell you right now what HiBit does better, it finds more "Windows log files", and browser cache for whatever browser is installed. As i mentioned, it picks up any browser automaticly.
