Yes i know but, why this error after an update. Then the update must be flawed.

Anyway, i did so when it happened which resulted in several GBs downloaded to the pc and fixing the situation. Then i cleaned the pc with the same programs as always that has never been a problem before, among the items is "Windows installer cahe" and ran sfc again, unabe to repair. This happened over and over and... . Bottom line, it is an update that causes this. Odd.

I was going to suggest DISM as well, if you think something is actually broken. I haven't found SFC to do anything useful for a long time. Either it finds no issues or finds issues it says it can't fix.

I presume you are using the cleaning from within Windows itself? (Settings.. Storage etc)
Do you restart your machine in between SFC attempts?
SFC has had quite a few failing in the last couple of years. If DISM says it is mended then it usually is.

Question about Windows 10 update on the 8th April.

After the KB5055518 update it is supposed the remove the seconds from the system clock/calendar in the taskbar, but mine are still there.
    Are yours?

Thanks guys for confirming about win10 seconds :thumb:

I had an interesting time with KB5055523 on Windows 11.
It started off downloading okay and was nearly downloaded when I noticed that Win updates was searching for updates at the top of the page at the same time.
Everything came to a standstill and basically win updates seemed to break:eek:
After SFC which repaired something and a restart, it still wouldn't download any updates.
So I ran a restore health with DISM followed by another SFC then another restart.

    Updates now installed:D

Second month in a row here. No Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool as part of the monthly windows updates? Did they do away with this? Is it part of the cumulative update now?

We have a mix. Currently 5 users on it. Don't like it. Trying to get the boss to get some permanent licenses for replacements. Days like this where is doesn't work are reason enough.

I hear you but time and some other things have fun their course. We kind of need to be in the cloud for some other services. :\

Today and yesterday I got what looks like two identical security intelligence update for Defender Antivirus for Windows 10; same KB and same version number. I installed them both and when I check the Reliability Monitor it actually show three of the same one were installed. Anyone else been seeing this?
