    I did not inquire why uBlock Origin in the MS Store is still stuck at version 1.62.

    Hello @Wallaby:

    Because all uBlock Origin recent releases seem to have passed through, Nicole (Nik) Rolls, you may wish to contact her.

    Perhaps it's time to transition to yesterday's release of uBlock Origin Lite (uBOL), also from the Microsoft store.

    I recently performed a Scam-test in this database:

    https://db.aa419.org/fakebankslist.php?start=1

    Obviously some link escapes the protection of the filter list and also my DNS anti-scam protection.
    Edge's anti-scareware protection also fails to detect some links.

    It would be interesting to see if the links that escape are blocked by this extension:

    https://github.com/Foulest/Osprey

    brought to attention by Kees1958.
    I have not done such a test.

    @Sampei Nihira
    Some days ago I installed Osprey Browser Protection in Edge. On your testsite it does an excellent job. Especially Bitdefender TrafficLight is responsable for that. But I think we're going OT.

    Check the bottom line on the website which says, "This database is the property of Artists Against 419. It is made available on the express terms that it may not be copied or distributed to any third party unless explicitly authorised by Artists Against 419."
    So, unfortunately it seems filter maintainer like Hagezi and others will not be able to use this source without legal consequences.

    Hi,
    HaGeZi does not use such a database otherwise some links would not escape blocking.
    It is possible to say the same for Edge's scareware protection.
    HaGeZi and other maintainers use this list of filters:

    https://github.com/durablenapkin/scamblocklist

    Which unfortunately does not block some active links.
    I checked even now with the first 5/6 links in the list.
    Osprey's protection is also partial but still blocks a few more links.

    P.S.

    It is interesting to consider that uBlock Origin is disabled on the Osprey block page,but it can be enabled.
    I do not know whether this operation is advisable or not.

    I just meant to say that filter maintainers like Hagezi probably would not be able to use that source even if they wanted because of what I quoted in my previous comment.
    Edge's scareware is a different protection layer which seems to be focused on the scam popups like, "Your Computer has virus, call this number......". It's about those popups hence the name, Scareware.
    Anyway, I have bookmarked the site and will do some checks every now and then. The Osprey extension is a nice one too. Thank you for that.

    Hello @Stupendous Man:

    I saw that sub-forum, but it doesn't seem to have recent uBOL update notices. Thank you for alluding to this. Would the Wilders leadership, and others, like to weigh-in on where they would like the uBOL updates posted? I am happy to accommodate.

    Thank you, @Stupendous Man :thumb::)

    Hi 1PW,
    Yeah, I don't know either, if it is best to post about uBOL in a dedicated thread, or keep posting in this one.
    Like you, I wonder what other members and the mods think about this.

    µBO and UBOL are completely different extensions, so my vote goes to the UBOL thread. This is where update and release info should be.
