I have a PC Xbox PS five DIRECTV receiver, printer and a second desktop on a TP link archer BE 9300, using Windows 11. Right now have eset antivirus, Malwarebytes, premium, and defender UI pro. Am I decently protected? I don’t do wares sites or porn sites, just average normal sites. I have been thinking about adding more on to the 9300, would that protect everything connected to the 9300?
DefenderUI is to be used with Microsoft Defender, seeing you are using Eset you should dump DefenderUI. Eset and Malwarebytes is more then enough.
OP has an overkill setup. He should choose either Eset, Malwarebytes, or MS Defender - with or without DefenderUI. Stay safe, not paranoid.
Just saying "it's bad" isn't very helpful. I've used ESET and MBAM in tandem for years. Decades, probably, since MBAM first came out. No issues (except in the early days); runs smoothly (no hiccups); and with my browsing needs and habits, I feel confident it's enough. Once in a while either one will block me from an "unsafe" website; sometimes they're false positives but other times I figure better safe than sorry and it's usually not a critical site anyway (or it blocks and advertising site). For me, it's good enough, coupled with safe browsing, email/browsing awareness, backups, and of course, Wilders.
There's no need for both Eset and Malwarebytes. I'd say ditch both of them and just use Defender with DefenderUI Pro. But if you had to pick one, go with Eset. As always, pair any security setup with a trusted imaging program; HBS, IFW, Drive Snapshot, etc
