I never understood the logic of wearing a watch that I have to charge every 2-3 days. The watch I use is powered by regular light, and has a reserve battery capacity of 6 months, in case I don't expose it to a light source. I only need to set the time twice a year on daylight saving time, otherwise it stays deadly accurate.
Yah, my watch is powered by light too, 12 years old and going strong, I even stopped wearing for a year once, put in sunlight for a few hours and it was good to go. Wear it every day now. ( And it has hands.)
Even worse, I had a Samsung watch that had to be charged every night. I gave up on it and don't ever want another smartwatch.
Since I have cerebral palsy, and a truck used me as a human speed bump whilst I was in the crosswalk eight years ago, having fall detection is important to me. The smart rings don't have that feature, so I'm forced to wear the monstrosity of the samsung watch.
