USA still the best. But barely.
    Won't uBO Lite fix this?

No it won't, since it's not as good as uBlock Origin. I haven't seen this message yet in Vivaldi, but it's troubling. I hope that Gorhill will continue to develop the MV2 uBlock Origin version and makes it available on GitHub or his own homepage. Vivaldi and Brave have said they will continue to support MV2 extensions in the coming months.

Let's not be sad too much. uBO Lite isn't bad. The downside is that it isn't tweakable. However, this will benefit people who think they're experienced but in reality mess up the settings. Who wants tweaking, adding user rules and custom filterlists is possible in Adguard MV3 beta (bonus: it offers an element picker for cosmetic filtering). And of course you can choose a desktop alternative, such as Adguard for Windows or BlackFog. Even on DNS level much remains possible (NextDNS, ControlD). Also there will be browsers that keep supporting MV2.

Google is killing uBlock Origin in Chrome, but this trick lets you keep it for another year.

This workaround has been posted already but users may have missed this simple way to apply it.

For Chrome, Chromium or Edge on Linux, see my comment here. :)
    On macOS:
    Open terminal.app and enter:
    Code:
    defaults write com.google.Chrome.plist ExtensionManifestV2Availability -int 2
    Instructions: Linux/Chrome, Win/Chrome, Win/Edge, Linux/Chromium, and MacOS/Chrome.

Best option might be using a OS level blocker, like Adguard desktop version, BlackFog, to override googles removal of uBlock.

The thing is, certain MV2 extensions don't really need to be updated all of the time.

And I see no reason for Gorhill to stop developing uBlock Origin if millions of people on Firefox, Brave, Opera and possibly Vivaldi will stil be using it. Of course on Chrome and Edge it won't be available anymore. And perhaps someone can fork uBlock Origin, in case Gorhill is not interested anymore?

UBlock origin Lite was causing focus problems with Chrome.
    Switched to Ghostery without issue.

    Hi,
for better understanding you can list the problems encountered with uBlock Origin lite?

    Thank you.

Ghostery to me seems to collect too much personal data.
