    Ah.....then the rule needs to be added.

    Try this website and see if the script with the arrow is blocked by ublock Origin.
    PB blocks it.

    https://www.farmacosmo.it/

    https://ibb.co/RyxZjsF

    If it is not blocked I will write you the 3p-rule.

    The 3-p rule would be better as you can see in rdsu's post:

    Code:
    ||news.google.com/swg/$script,3p

    @mantra,
    I don't know about other browsers than Firefox.
    In Firefox, it's in Settings/ Privacy & Security/ Permissions/ Autoplay/ Settings. There you can block audio and video autoplay.
    For other browsers, I guess you must look for something similar, but perhaps it is quite different, I cannot tell you.
    If you mention which browser you use, perhaps someone can tell you what to look for.

    If disabling autoplay doesn't help, perhaps you're seeing animated GIFs, or MP4 video used as animated images. Usually, those can be blocked by a rule created using the uBlock Origin element picker.

    If you have difficulties blocking the videos that you mentioned, please let us know which webpages, which videos, which browser, and what you tried already.
    Good luck. :thumb:

    In Firefox, you can block audio and video autoplay, as I mentioned.
    For other browsers, perhaps someone else can tell you what settings you need.

    And as I said, if disabling autoplay doesn't help, perhaps you may be seeing animated GIFs or MP4 video used as animated images. Usually, those can be blocked by a rule created using the uBlock Origin element picker.

    If you have difficulties blocking the videos, please let us know which webpages, which videos, in which browser you have difficulties blocking videos, and most importantly, what you tried already.
    Without such information, no one will be able to help, I'm afraid.

    seal.min.js from digicert is blocked from privacy badger, edge 132. in firefox not shown. not sure but it could be firefox blocking it with its own block list.

    I have been asked what is the reason for taking this double test (Sampei test :D).

    I think it has become necessary considering that successfully passing the Cover You Tracks (EFF) test alone is too easy.
    Another reason is due to the fact that the more “symbolic” tests found on the Internet have been disabled/archived.

    There are a lot of websites that have the tracker,blocked by Privacy Bager,and with my filter lists not blocked by uBlock Origin,shown with the red arrow in the image:

    https://ibb.co/HTrHn4r

    https://www.mediaite.com/

    In this case entering the rule is easy with the uBlock Origin log.
    So I added a total of 3 third-party rules + this rule referring to YT.

    :thumb: Interesting tests ✔
    I've been using both for a long time and browsing in FF works very well for me. They get along well. What one doesn't catch, the other does.;)

    firefox+adguard+badger, but none of them blocks play.google because its not requested. my testing profile points out, that adguard with MY rules+lists is blocking something which loads play.google afterwards.

    seems that youtube base.js is initiating this, so tell firefox.
    adguard blocks XHR calls from that file.

    @Stupendous Man

    I haven't had much success with FreeTube on Linux. Very slow, tried different
    invidious, and unless they have updated 720p is the highest quality for downloads.

    4K Video Downloader and ClipGrab stopped working for some reason.
    Open Video Downloader & YTDownloader_ Linux AppImage seem to still work.

    A far as uBlock Origin I've used it when signing in and not signing in.
    There is a custom filter list for uBO called YouTube Clear View (Syntax: AdBlock)
    but look like mainly used for cleaning up YouTube clutter.

    I rarely if ever see ads, but one thing I've noticed the longer I'm
    on YouTube the slower it becomes. Not sure if it's because of uBO
    filter lists I'm using or the browser or the combination of both.

    @Compu KTed,

    It would have been helpful if you had mentioned what post it was you replied to. I had to look for what you were responding to regarding FreeTube and video downloaders. Finally, I found it was my January 3 reply to Reality.
    Regarding 4K Video Downloader, there is a new version once every few weeks to keep up with changes in YouTube. You may need a new version. Regarding ClipGrab, I don't use it; the ClipGrab AppImage has multiple issues if I try it on Kubuntu.

    What you noticed regarding YouTube, the longer you are on YouTube, the slower it gets, I do not know what causes that. I can hardly imagine what you notice is because of uBlock Origin.
    On my computer, I notice that the system gets sluggish when multiple YouTube tabs are loaded for extended time. I presume that is because of my old hardware, with only 4 GB of RAM and no SSDs but HDDs. I think that keeping several YouTube tabs loaded for some time forces memory to swap, bringing the old computer to a crawl.
    But again, I don't know what's the cause of the slowdown that you notice.

    [edit: typo]

    Off Topic:
    My fault. Should have gave you post# I was referring to.
    I did keep updating 4KVideoDownloader. Some reason it stopped
    working and that's why I turned to ClipGrab AppImage. That worked
    fine for quite sometime until recently. AFAIK it hasn't been updated
    in a while for Linux so maybe that's why it stopped working. IDK.

    UBlock Origin I'm using a custom static filter list for YouTube.
    I have to test it to see if I really need it. My question is are the
    default filter lists in uBlock Origin enough to prevent ads and
    those nagging popups from occuring on YouTube? I'm aware of
    using Element Zapper and Element Picker in uBO.

    Also do you enable or disable cosmetic filtering on YouTube?
    There is of course the setting to disable cosmetic filtering
    as the default behavior which can be overridden on per-site basis.

    I think so, but I cannot tell for sure. Apart from the default filter lists, I have a filter list enabled for my region (AdGuard Dutch), but I doubt that is relevant for YouTube, and I have EasyList and uBlock Annoyances filter lists enabled.
    In addition to that, I have one filter rule for YouTube in My Filters:
    www.youtube.com##.ytp-ce-element

    Cosmetic filtering for YouTube is enabled as by default.

    The last commit was on January 19 - definitely not "over a month" ago. Don't you want to allow him a vacation? He certainly deserves it.

    Vacation?
    Few people take such a long vacation at this time of year.
    I hope there are no other problems.

    P.S.

    For the other nitpicking (probably abroad nitpicking is a dowry while in my country it is a flaw).............. uBo's version of development is stopped on January 10.
    And so I will not respond to any other nitpicky responses.
