    Chrome's no longer supporting:

Tried adGuard extension. Failed to allow, some sites to launch, without white lisiting

Tried removing adGuard ext & install adGuard for Windows, that worked fine. Expensive

Any extension add blocker, for Chrome recommend.

Note I tried the adguard beta, from chrome, fail

    Thanks

Lifetime licenses are often on sale for cheap. Watch for deals. I don't want to post any direct links but a quick google search found a 3 user lifetime license for $14.99. I paid less than twice that for a family lifetime license (9 devices I think). Worth every dime to not have to deal with trying to find browser extensions that work... or don't.

You need the Bypass Paywalls Clean filter list in Brave, µBO, Adguard Beta. Reuters loads fine for me.

AdGuard for Windows is really the only alternative.

no issues here with adguard mv3 (only) and edge. i can see a gap on top called "leaderbord" which gets 0px and thus not visible within seconds. videos are playing. no visible ads for now.
if there will still some unwanted elements i always try to create a rule in my adblocker, or in stylus (currently as mv2)
we should try to share settings to improve our ad blockers instead using this, and this, and that. its like gorhill ever told us - only one blocker!

Thanks Guys! It's not surprising that works on your machine may not work, for others. Too many moving parts, is most likely the diff. btwn yours & my results. Accessing Reuters.

I've tried all mentioned, default white list, the only one that worked, on the install using default was AdArmor. Simple easy!! The only reason for this is Ext. Mgr in chome said Mublock no longer supported

im using adguard and ublock both whle copule years and 100% sure adguard its 300% more effective than ublock.
I talk about native progam installed directly on system not extension browser like ublock

1st) Website can use thier script for inject code and detect you have using adblocker... meanwhile aduard its installed out of browser so most webstill will not see it.
    2) Adguard its not only just ad-bloker its have a lot other bundle options which ublock dont have and to have similar level on fuctions you would need install at last 4-5 diferent plugins for fit lack features which come with adguard.
3)As i said adguard is native software so can filter ads whole all system in browser and other product too.. for example last time discord added possibility play youtube adds if you watch video from YT on discord chat. since i pinned discord for as monitor app.
Discord no more play me ads meanwhile ublock you cant pined to discord bc its plugin for webbrowser not native chat client.
4)Also have more privacy and anonymous featurs in option
5)Have possible inject custome scripts in browser you need instal again other plugin for make possible add/inject scripts as i mention it in 2nd point.

So comparsion Adguard to ublock its not good at all bc adguard its above it by all way, but even if you limit comparsion to stand alone ad-blocking its still better, a lot better.

Another migrant to AdGuard. It looks good so far.

    Have a great day.

Why drop the highly esteemed UBO for a replacement other than maybe the desire to experiment with arguably comparable browser extensions/apps? I've apparently missed the point of this thread. Thanks in advance for the illumination regarding any recent issues or concerns I may've missed along the way with UBO.

Never mind. Skipped over to the Chrome Store and, eureka..."This extension may soon no longer be supported because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions."

Suddenly reminded why I appreciate Firefox as much as I do.

N.B. For the Chrome aficionados that may be inclined to hyperventilate without it, check out the Chrome extension "Adblocker Ultimate." Drum roll parade name aside, it checkmarks all the boxes per Chrome Web Store: # of users, # of positive reviews, and last update as recently as a lil' over a week ago. I gave this puppy a spin around the block... yada, yada. The long and the short... looks like a keeper.

I saw this message too when I upgraded Vivaldi, and since uBlock Lite isn't good enough, I might switch to Adguard's extension which is compatible with MV3 and has more features than uBlock Lite. Actually, I just saw that the new Adguard extension isn't available yet on the Chrome Web Store, so you still get to see the warning.

Really nice catch @Rasheed187. I've got the beta Adguard extension running on Edge, Chrome, Brave (overkill maybe/probably?), and Vivaldi with superb results. I replaced the Adguard beta version in lieu of the aforementioned "Adblocker Ultimate" because it couldn't find its way around misdirects on certain websites the likes of Flixtor, Putlocker, Dopebox, Moviesjoy, etc.--- websites you'll no doubt wanna steer clear of unless your set-up includes a solid VPN, a kick arse AM/AV app, and probably up to and including a system-wide virtual app to reboot if things go south (hello and welcome home, dear Faronics.)...

All by the way, curiosity slayed this cat when several days ago I splurged a whopping 10 beans for a lifetime license with Adguard for Windows. The app works a bit too good for my purposes since it stops ALL of the aforementioned streaming websites dead in its tracks.

Betting dollars to donuts Raymond (assuming he's still at the helm), the guru nemesis to all adds polluting the web will find a UBO work around to counter the insidiously greedy and blatantly invasive Chrome and its ilk.

    One can hope.

Actually, I now see that the AdGuard MV3 version is already available but someone gave it a very bad review, so I decided not to check it out. BTW, I also noticed that there are a couple of uBlock clones available, I wonder how this is even allowed.

And I have never heard of Adblocker Ultimate, are you sure it's trustworthy? I do see that it has 1 million users to my surprise. Oh wait, it also has a desktop app similar to AdGuard, seems it's pretty well known. Now that I think of it, my first adblocker that I used back in 2004 was a desktop app named Ad Muncher, totally forgot about that. But an extension seems like a better choice.

There is an AdBlocker Ultimate thread, of which the first page has some interesting replies and links, one post by gorhill, and two posts by nicolaasjan.

OK thanks, so what was the conclusion, that's it's some scam because it's a clone of uBlock or something?

No, as gorhill said, a rip-off of old versions of AdGuard.
And there was no conclusion. Everyone must think for themselves, perhaps try to find some more info, and decide whether they like AdBlocker Ultimate or not.

OK my bad, I just quickly looked at some of the posts. But I wouldn't touch it, if it's not self developed.

    I ask:

for Brave - I think I could continue to use uBO
for Firefox forks - I think I could continue to use uBO
    for Vivaldi?
    for Edge?

    Thanks

Why? Brave's Shields are based on uBO's filterlists. Besides that you can add other lists and custom filterrules (not recommended if you aren't experienced).
As long as other browsers support MV2 I shouldn't use any MV3 content blocker.
A nice alternative is Adguard for Windows (desktop app). No worries anymore about MV2 and MV3.

Eich told, that ublock is better than its own blocker, thats the reason they want to continue MV2 as long as possible.
