@TheRollbackFrog - YOU more than anyone else have been instrumental in the refining of it. I'm certain the Hasleo Devs are indebted for your expertise, suggestions and sharp analysis which is propelled this program ahead.
I assume any full disk backup image on restore will resurface even a wiped blank disk of equal size. NOTE: I not forgotten. I created a fresh Emergency UFD as well.
Actions/Mount Image. Select your image with "Change version" if necessary (most recent image offered), select partition(s) to mount, <double-click> Drive Letter column entry. Use offered DropDown to select drive letter assignment or use offered "auto-assign" to allow Windows to pick your MOUNTed drive letter, the "Proceed."
It's a little janky. I think it uses a removable disc driver for mounting, as all mounted partitions are seen as removable after mount. But it gets the job done. HBS is free, so I won't complain too much.
How/Is this different from Tools => Mount/Unmount Image? Spoiler: related pic Why do I see This operation completed successfully with Mounted No? Spoiler: related pics Edit: since trying Mount. I've not been able to Eject my ext HDD. "This device is currently in use". Edit2: posted over on Haselo Forums
Well crap guys. Now it's there as clear as the lines on my face. I won't go into how the heck I missed it but sure did. So nill or nix my earlier post about that. EDIT: Sort of wonky but it works
I can't argue to that finding. Takes some getting used to and the other's as you said display as Removable Drives, which kinda confused things. However it does indeed Function and Unmounting is a breeze.
Yeah, HBS is lacking polish. But, for a free product, it's very good. I don't see any way that some of the features, such as mounting, can be improved upon because to do so would cost money. But it does what it claims to do, which is the most important part.
Works well enough for me too. It took forever but the addition of In Tools of Mount/Unmount image is useful and works. On lower end outdated systems (like my 8.1), imaging seems sluggish but that means nothing since most users are on electro circuitry drives, not antiquated mechanical spindler's. Overall it's a very fine well fashioned backup/restore program sure to make a splash and have a dedicated draw of customers.
Anyone noticed extended restart time with these 2 latest versions? My restart prolongs with about 10-12 sec. Then one before, 4.5, no problem.
Hi @pb1 I am not using the 4.8 version, I still use 4.5.1, but I think I recall reading about the longer restarts after installing 4.8 on the Hasleo forum, and someone if I recall correctly mentioned turning off the mounting service should fix the longer restarts? I do recall reading something about it, after installing 4.8 it was mentioned longer restarts, hope this helps or it might be something else. I found the thread about this here: https://www.easyuefi.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=2040&pid=5967#pid5967 Sounds like the service is necessary for the program and the Admin claims the mounting service should not be causing the delay in restart.
Thanks for the reply. Yes i saw that thread in their forum after my post here. So, now i know that they are aware of it.
Hi @ Wilders Can anyone tell me where to find and download V 4.5.1 Hasleo Backup. The version 4.8 takes a long time to shut down. Thak you Terry
Use the link in post #1117 to read about a workaround. I just used a downloaded version from the site - uptodown, where you can get old versions. Installed fine and works fine.
Please add the icing on the cake.... backup to vhd, vhdx, vmdk I use vmware workstation/hyperv and these formats are very useful !
Hi @TerryWood Here is a link from uptodown site mentioned by pb1. It is the older 4.5.1 Hasleo Backup Suite version. Hope this helps anyone who needs it.
Where can I see which version I am running? I just opened the program but cannot see any help or about tab that provided that info.
